Day 2: Antisana base camp 4,650 masl – Antisana summit 5,758 masl – return to Machachi
We start our second day at 22:00 pm with a light breakfast. We then pack up and start the ascent at 23:00 pm. Within an hour we arrive at the glacier where we rope up and put our crampons on. The climb takes us across the glacier and there is a technical climb before finally arriving to the summit after approximately 8 hours. After enjoying the spectacular view, and taking some photographs, we return to the camp via the same route – the descent takes around 3 hours. We then pack up and return to Machachi.
